Roman Abramovich’s mega-yacht Eclipse caused quite a stir when it visited Bermuda earlier this year.
The vessel measured a whopping 536 feet and was said to be worth more than a billion dollars.
But now the Eclipse has been ‘eclipsed’ by a new super-yacht, launched this month in Germany.
Biggest
The new yacht, which is called Azzam, is an incredible 590 feet long and has claimed the title of the world’s largest super-yacht from the Eclipse.
The Azzam was designed by Italian yacht designers Nauta Yacht Design, and built by Lürssen at the company’s yard in Bremen, Germany.
The new luxury vessel is believed to have cost around $450 million and has been paid for by an unidentified owner.
The Azzam is said to have a top speed of 30 knots and will be delivered to its new owner in the next couple of months after further sea trials and final detailing has taken place.
