Teen admits trying to steal bike
A teenager today admitted stealing bolts from a motorbike.
Donavan Allen, 18, pleaded guilty to attempting to steal a Honda Click bike and two bolts from the bike on January 18 in Warwick.
The court heard officers on mobile patrol were called to a male trying to steal a bike a 9:29pm that day.
When they arrived at the Warwickshire Lane home, the complainant told them his friend was on the balcony of the apartment when he saw the defendant trying to take the bike out of the front yard.
Allen saw the witness watching him and then ran into a nearby property.
When the complainant inspected his bike, he saw two bolts were missing.
The officers then approached the nearby property were the defendant was a saw a male that matched the description given by the witness.
He identified himself as Donavan Allen and was arrested.
Officers found two bolts and a socket wrench on him.
Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner ordered pre-sentencing reports and granted Allen $1,000 bail with one surety.
