Two enterprising youngsters have found a unique way of combining the Cup Match spirit with raising money for charity.

Stephanie Solis and her brother Alejandro have been busy tie-dying T-shirts in the Cup Match colours.

So far the duo has made around 80 T-shirts and they are hoping to sell the entire stock over Cup Match.

The two siblings of Southampton parish have managed to raise more than $100 so far, which they plan on donating to the Family Centre.

Stephanie, 16, said: “It was really my brother’s idea to begin with and then we both started working on it.

“It has been a lot of fun to do, and we
e are happy to be helping the Family Centre.”

Alejandro, 14, added: “I guess it all started when we had to design a T-shirt for a school competition and my sister and I decided to do tie-dye T-shirts.

“I won three out of four awards and it went from there.

“It has gone really well so far and we are hoping to sell all the T-shirts before we get to Cup Match.”

Stephanie and Alejandro took to Par-la-Ville Park last Friday to sell the T-shirts.

And they are planning to head to the Family Centre’s Tag Day today as well as BeachFest to sell more.
