‘WHOOO’ switched owl’s Cup Match colours?

“Has someone vandalized my owl?!?!” cried Derek Exell, owner of Offshore Yachting and Maintenance on Harbour Road in Paget.

Unbeknownst to Mr. Exell, an overnight Cup Match prankster had put St. George’s colours on his usually Somerset-supporting owl mascot that adorns the entry to his business.

The blue and blue cape was quickly removed, but Mr. Exell laughed at the joke and said “it’s all in good fun.”

When asked if he thinks the East End colours might return tomorrow, Mr. Excell said “Yes, it wouldn’t surprise me – who knows what may happen to the poor owl?!”.
