Queen Mary 2/James Taylor

James Taylor fans will have an unusual opportunity to see him in concert aboard the Queen Mary 2. He will perform on its August 27th transatlantic crossing from New York to Southampton.

The cost starts at $1,698 per person for an inside cabin, excluding taxes.

Other onboard speakers for the crossing include astronaut Andrew Green, maritime historian Bill Miller and Sherlock Holmes and Victorian policing expert Colin Preece.

Carnival

At the other end of the expense scale for cruises, Carnival has several four-day ones starting at $154 per person for an inside cabin. The Carnival Ecstasy, which departs from
Miami and sails to Key West and Cozumel, Mexico on December 1 is one cruise you can get at that price.

Another is a four-day Bahamian cruise onboard the Carnival Sensation from Port Canaveral (Orlando) on December 7.

You can also get the Ecstasy for $159 for a three-day Bahamian cruise on December 5.
