Thomas Lightbourne is events and marketing coordinator for the City of Hamilton. For the City Fashion Festival he has been tasked to manage and ensure the grounds for the events are setup and  run smoothly through the duration of the events.

When did you last laugh out loud?

I can’t even remember —  maybe over the father’s day weekend.


Your earliest memory?

Being chased by this vicious little ankle-biting dog and to this day, I still have flashbacks.


What were you like in school?

Not to toot my own horn but ah beep, beep… I was one of the popular kids.


If you were given a million dollars tomorrow what would you do with it?

Invest 90 per cent and blow the other 10 per cent on travelling and shopping.


Human trait you value most in others?

Loyalty.


Which cartoon character would you be?

Bugs Bunny.


Do you believe in fate?

No, I believe if you want it you have to work for it.


Your greatest fear?

To lose my iPhone on Saturday after working hours and be phoneless until Monday. Ha.


Most embarrassing moment?

Gosh, there have been so many, Yikes...


Your ultimate ambition?

To have the means in which I don’t have to work and dedicate myself to multiple charities and community projects.


Your most unappealing habit?

Picking my nose, I guess, ha.


Describe yourself in three words.

Loyal. Silly. Kind.


Which human trait do you dislike the most?

The way people chew.


Best party you’ve ever been to?

My friend Makeda’s 80s party…the best.


Anyone you’d like to say ‘sorry’ to?

To you. And you know who you are *wink*.


Worst job you’ve ever done?

Babysitting others’ kids , the worst.


Biggest regret?

Not taking advantage of some of the opportunities I have been afforded.


Closest you’ve ever come to death?

Las Vegas.


Your desert island song?

 India Arie — This Too Shall Pass.


What animal would you be?

A golden retriever.


What do you do if you can’t sleep?

Come on guys, this is a family paper!


If you had a time machine, where would you go?

Back to my youth to let me know that time is precious and take advantage of a care free life while you can.


Your most memorable dream?

Meeting Beyoncé in person. Yay!


Most unpleasant exchange you’ve have had with a person?

My current situation, ha.


Best advice you have ever taken?

Learn to let people in, it’s a work in progress.


What do you most dislike about your appearance?

My beer belly, ha.


What do you like best about your appearance?

 My skin tone.


Nicest thing anyone has ever said to you?

You can have the last piece of chicken. 


Define romantic love.

Effortless, spontaneous, quality.


Most treasured possession?

My freedom.


A dream location for a home?

New York.


What keeps you up at night?

Good scripted reality TV, i.e.  Kardiasians, Love and Hip Hop and the list  goes on...


Guilty pleasure?

 Good ol’ candy, sour patch kids.


Your proudest achievement?

It’s still in working progress.


Most important lesson life has taught you?

Don’t be afraid to make mistakes, those are the same mistakes that shape us and teach us to do better and be better.


What would you most like to be remembered for?

An individual who lives life according to his limits and expectations and not society’s.
