Blood, gore, games, sex and dragons will be coming back to your TV on Sunday nights and boy, am I excited.

Game of Thrones season four premieres on Sunday and I am so ready. For those who have read the books or watched the first three seasons, you know to expect lots of deaths with plenty of blood.

Last season, the show left off with probably the worst episode by far with the Red Wedding where Lady Catelyn and Rob Stark were killed at The Twins.

Arya Stark was still with the Hound and Bran Stark was heading beyond the wall. In King’s Landing, the Lannister’s were still up to their tricks to maintain power and it looks like the purple/royal wedding between King Joffrey and Margery Tyrell will be upon us this season.

And poor Sansa Stark was miserable as ever, especially after her marriage to Tyrion Lannister.

Danerys Targarean’s dragon’s are getting bigger and bigger and she is becoming more and more powerful, having freed all the slave cities but one.

And we can’t forget about John Snow, who got away from the Wildlings last season. He is expected to be a leader this season, but the Wildlings were gaining in on the Wall, so I’m sure he will see them again.

So what can we expect this season?

Without giving away any spoilers, this season is said to be the best one so far, with tons of actions after a generally slow season last year.

There are also new characters, with the most prominent being Prince Oberyn of House Martell, known as The Red Viper.

In the previews, it is revealed that Prince Oberyn hates the Lannister’s and wants them all dead. Hopefully it will happen? Well, except Tyrion, of course.

Prince Oberyn brings his children’s mother, Ellaria Sand, with him on his trip to King’s Landing.

Up north, there are new Wilding characters who are expected to be a big presence this season, with perhaps a battle of the Wildlings and the men of the Night’s Watch.

Also new, Jamie Lannister will sport a hand made of gold after his was chopped off at the beginning of last season.

So, if you can’t tell by now, I am extremely excited and cannot wait until 10pm on Sunday.

Game of Thrones airs on Sunday nights on HBO.
