Marlins maintain lead

Fishbowl League

The Marlins won three of four games from Cow Pollies to increase their lead over the Snappers in the Fishbowl League. Cow Pollies didn't bowl badly - they had the high team handicap game with an 828, but they started slowly rolling a league low 660 in the first game and a 731 in the second. Marlins had the second high handicap series with a 2,287 and league high scratch game (709) and series (1,999).

Wahoo swept the Mackerel 4-0 and Piranhas blank Barracuda in the only wipeouts of the night. Hinds had the league high handicap series (2,359) as they beat Jellyfish (3-1).

Other scores saw Snappers draw 2-2 with Tuna; Porgies bite Orca 3-1; and Goldfish beat Dolphins 3-1

Malcolm Santucci (223), Patrice Tucker (201), Richard Zuill (227), Carlos Estravit (204) and Brian Botelho (205) all rolled 200s.

Zuill bowled a 631 handicap series to lead all the men while Christine Woolridge had a 614 series to nip Patrice Tucker by one pin to lead all women.

Commercial League

Bottom club Strikers pulled off a major upset when they beat top-ranked BTC 3-1 Monday night. BTC was able to maintain its six-point lead in the Commercial League as second place Spinners lost 3-1 to Sweet Life.

The keglers from the Royal Gazette brought their A game as they not only beat Do It best Masters 3-1, they had both the high handicap game (833) and high handicap series (2,355).

Braves had the second highest scores as they downed Double Trouble 3-1. Also winning 3-1 was King Pins.

Robert 'Dixie' Symonds rolled a 214 to edge Chris Leverock by one pin for high scratch game. Thalia Lightbourne (181) and Doreen smith (176) had the high games for the ladies.

Leverock did have the high handicap series with a 673. Albert Gordon (630) and Fanon Khaldun (615) also rolled well. Lightbourne (505), Smith (478) and Patrice Morgan (476) were the top three women.
