Mackerels’ William Steede was top scorer in the latest Fishbowl League bowling action — with a 244 game and 614 series.

Team-mate Sandra Ford backed Steede by topping the ladies’ weekly high scores list with a 533 series.

Opponents Porgies had other ideas as Ted Swiss claimed second game and series honours with a 225 and 594.

It was a hit-or-miss game,   ending in a 2-2 draw.

Tuna pulled the rabbit out of the hat and won three of the four points, while Snappers could only muster one.

Karen Landy led the Tuna with a 536, while for the Snappers’ Peter Winsby was top scorer with a 559.

The match between the Marlins and Goldfish was a close encounter and ended with Goldfish taking all four points.

The first game saw a 21-pin separation, six pins in the second game and the third game 35 pins.

Richard Zuill chipped in a 554 series and Donna Doyle claimed ladies second high series honours with a 479 and third game of 169 for the Marlins. The Goldfish were led by  Albert Botelho with games of 215, 139 and 213 for a 567 series.

Wendell White was Cow Pollies’ top scorer, leading them to a 3-1 win over Swordfish. Sonia Holder led the Swordfish’s efforts, claiming ladies’ second high scratch game of 186 and a high handicap game of 242 —but they were unable to take a bigger share of the points.

Milkfish and Dolphins  battled it out with Milkfish coming out 3-1 winners led by Daniel  Morales.

Barracuda held on to first place in the standings when their match with Hog Fish ended in a 2-2 draw.

Joshua Bento claimed third high honours for both his 222 game and 593 series.  Hanny consolation led the Hog Fish as their s top scorer with a 543.

Wahoo went home with all four points as their match  against Bye (Gone Fishin) was no contest thanks to a complete  team effort. n
