Being first is always an honour. Four young Bermudians will represent the island in the inaugural Youth Olympic Games, which are being held in Singapore from August 14 through August 26.

Tyrone Smith made history when he won a gold medal in the long jump in the CAC Games tonight in Puerto Rico.

Smith not afraid to hurdle any obstacle
Three national track and field records were broken over the course of one weekend in May. Aaron Evans established the new mark in the 800 metres and Arantxa King did likewise in the triple jump. But before those two wrote their names into the record books Shianne Smith penciled her name in for the new high mark in heptathlon.
