Richardson's company wins awards
Don Burgess
Deputy Editor

Ralph Richardson is one Bermudian who is making his mark overseas.

His company, Maven Concepts, took top honours for Web Multi-Media and the coveted Best of Show award at the regional 2009 ADDY Awards ceremony held March 20 in Rancho Cucamonga, California.

The wins are the first step towards winning national advertising awards in the U.S.

Gold Medal winners move on to compete in district, and then national competitions.

Mr. Richardson, owner of Maven, said: "This is an outstanding achievement for Maven Concepts and we are very honoured to have our hard work recognized by our peers."

This recent win marks the fourth Gold ADDY, eight total awards, and first Best of Show for Maven Concepts since starting business in 2005.

Both the Gold ADDY and Best of Show accolades were awarded for the Europa Vineyard Estates (www.europavineyardestates.com) website. Europa Vineyard Estates is a high-end, vineyard estate community under development by the Rancon Group, based in Murrieta, California.

Sharon Racz, associate vice president of marketing for the Rancon Group, also won a Gold Addy in the category of Mixed / Multi-Media - Regional / National Campaign in conjunction with the Europa Vineyards Estates marketing programme.

"It's been a pleasure working with Ralph and his associates at Maven," said Racz after the presentation. "They are a very talented group and they bring a lot of creativity and knowledge to the table.
