Marlon Brando's 'Bounty' adds movie glamour to Tall Ships festival
Sarah Lagan
Writer/Sub-editor

A ship immortalized in one of Marlon Brando's most famous movies sailed into Bermuda this week to join the fun of the Tall Ships Festival.

While the Bounty - pictured here off South Shore at Watchill Park - is not a participant in the Tall Ships race, she is here to be part of the excitement.

The American ship, featured in Mutiny of the Bounty (see page 7) had travelled from Jacksonville, Florida.

In today's paper, we talk to Bermudian crew members from ships taking part in the race as the on-island festivities begin.

The Bounty will leave Bermuda along with the rest of the Tall Ships on Monday, June 15. But her captain, Robin Walbridge, will set a different course, heading to New York where she is due to take part in July 4

celebrations.
