Office of the Premier

THURSDAY, JAN. 28: Premier Dr. Ewart Brown and Wanda Brown were the official honoured guests Tuesday evening as HRH Prince Khaled bin Sultan bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud hosted the Third Annual Khalediah Horse Show outside Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The Prince, who owns the Elbow Beach hotel, is an avid horse breeder and owns more than 1000 Arabian horses around the world.

Dr. Brown said: "Wanda and I were honoured to have been invited by His Royal Highness to this important event. Prince Khaled reminded us of his long association with Bermuda and seemed excited about the future of Elbow Beach."

The horse show will run through Friday. The Premier has a lunch meeting with Prince Khaled today before departing for the United States on Friday.

The Premier and his wife should pay their own way to attend this sort of thing. It's insulting enough that they do it at all, while everyone else is on an austerity budget. I wonder if we're paying for this out of taxpayer's money? Get used to it. There will be plenty of 'farewell tours' leading up to October.

Great move!!! That's good P.R for the island. It is noble showing support to the owner of The Elbow Beach.
