We will be Tweeting over Cup Match
Glenn Jones

There will be live coverage of Cup Match 2010 to mobile devices thanks to a partnership between Digicel Bermuda, VaOnline.tv, bermudaCupMatch.com and BermudaSun.bm.

Users anywhere in the world can keep up to date with the holiday weekend’s events via Twitter.

It’s the first large-scale effort to bring Cup Match live to mobile devices.

Any twitter user can engage Digicel’s 3G+ Cup Match Coverage by following the Twitter name @cupmatch. A team of writers will be providing tweets from not only the 2010 Cup Match Classic at Somerset Cricket Club, but also BeachFest at Horseshoe Bay, Non-mariners Race at Mangrove Bay, Soca vs. Reggae at Snorkel Park and any other holiday-related event.

Followers can expect live score updates, photos and prizes including a limited edition white Blackberry Bold 9700 from Digicel.

More than 100 Twitter users are already following @cupmatch.

Meantime, a feed of all @cupmatch tweets is continuously updated on the homepages of VaOnline.tv, bermudaCupMatch.com and shortly on the homepage of BermudaSun.bm.

Mobile Twitter applications are available on most Blackberries and can be downloaded in a matter of seconds.  You can get more information about Twitter on Blackberries at: http://na.blackberry.com/devices/features/social/twitter.jsp
