Just four days before a horror road smash left him fighting for his life, teenager Shakir Amory was "thinking about his future".
Three days before that, the 16-year-old said life was "feeling great".
Shakir, a student at CedarBridge Academy, posted the statements on his profile page on the social networking website Facebook.
But his carefree life was shattered on Saturday night.
He was returning from a family function at about 11:30pm when his motorcycle collided with a car on South Road, near Ariel Sands.
Shakir, a dedicated supporter of Liverpool football club, suffered serious head, internal and leg injuries.
He was last night believed to be in a stable condition in the intensive care unit at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.
The car driver, a 36-year-old woman of Smith's, injured her right hand and leg.
She was later arrested on suspicion of impaired driving.
Prayers and messages of hope wishing Shakir a speedy recovery have been posted on Facebook.
His friend Aleisha Tucker wrote: "Everybody pray for my friend and neighbour Shakir Amory.
"He was in a bad accident late Saturday night and is in critical condition.
"Please keep his family and friends in your prayers. It wouldn't be the same without him... I wouldn't see him ride past my house or play football outside anymore."
Another friend, Denton Tyjuan Parris, wrote: "Shakir Amory is my boy. You are in my prayers Shakir and I hope you pull through this."
The Bermuda Sun understands that Shakir has been put in a paralysed state for his safety.
He has multiple fractures and injuries to both legs, his left wrist, jaw and collarbone.
He is also being treated for a collapsed left lung and serious head injuries.
Witnesses to the accident should contact PC Preston Gill on 295-0011.
