Baby's medical fundraiser postponed

A fundraising event to raise money for the medical costs of a baby with a heart defect has been postponed.

Mom Gene-Anne Bean was planning to hold a curry luncheon at Harrington Workman's Club on Friday. She is trying to raise $350,000 to pay for her 15-month-old daughter Kei-Anne's air ambulance and hospital fees.

The event has been postponed until further notice due to a family bereavement. A new date will be announced soon.
