It can be difficult not to play favourites when handing out work permits to companies, Lt. Col. Burch revealed yesterday.
The labour minister used the name of one his political opponents - senator and dairy owner Michael Dunkley - when he described how hard it is not to be "influenced" by the name of an applicant.
He told members of the BPSU: "I have to confess that I have my 10 seconds where I think Dunkley isn't getting new work permits because he is just too horrible. Then I come back to earth and realize Dunkley employees Bermudians too and deserves his work permits just like everybody else."
