FRIDAY, FEB. 17: Flanagan’s is having a dream season.
The First Division club is hoping to pull off an improbable double — The league title and the FA Cup.
Right now all roads lead through Wolves Sports Club in order for them to have any chance at that.
The two teams will face each other on back-to-back weekends, starting with this Saturday’s FA Cup quarter-final.
The following weekend, Flanagan’s will seek to overhaul Wolves for first as they trail the leaders by two points.
Captain Keston Lewis said the game will help “get our name out there out there as a competitive team.
“This will let Bermuda know we’re not just a pub team, but we have some very skillful players”
Lewis said when the season started one of the main goals was to earn promotion.
“That’s what we have been striving for all season. We’ve been working really hard and put in extra work in the off-season.”
He said Flanagan’s has worked on bringing up their fitness levels.
“This is definitely a big game for us. It’s always a good game playing against Wolves. They’ve had our number in the past, but hopefully these two games we can put our best foot forward.”Fa Cup:
