Nahki Wells has not been offered a new contract by Carlisle United. 
United manager Greg Abbott informed Wells and fellow forward Ryan Bowman that their contracts will not be renewed at the end of this season.
Likeable
Former-Dandy Town striker Wells, 20, signed a short-term contract with the Cumbrians in January following a successful trial period with the club and made three appearances from the bench during the second half of this season.
Abbott told Carlisle United’s official website: "It's always horrible to have to tell a young man that he won't be getting a contract.
“It's even worse when they are two genuine and likeable lads like these.
“What we have had to do is look to next season and make a decision, however tough that may be, and the decision on this occasion is that we have to let them move on.
“They are both very hard working and a pleasure to have around, but sometimes you have to do what you think is best for the players involved and for the club.
“We will make sure that we do everything we can to help them find something else, and they will go with our very best wishes.” n
