TUESDAY, APRIL 24: Footballer Reggie Lambe has been nominated for goal of the week following his first goal of the season on Saturday.
Lambe scored for Toronto FC in the 36th minute after a corner kick. He shot the ball from 30 yards away from Chicago Fire goalkeeper Sean Johnston.
Lambe scored again in the 40th minute.
But in the end Toronto lost their sixth game in a row with a final score of 2-3.
Lambe has much to be proud of after being nominated for Major League Soccer goal of the week. The other contenders are Camilo Sanvezzo of Vancouver, Omar Cummings of Colorado, Kyle Beckerman of Real Salt Lake and Chris Pontius from Washington DC.
Lambe encouraged fans to vote for him and said: “This was my first professional goal and our first goal this season in the league.
“Plus it was a great strike.
“I would be much appreciate if Bermuda supported me and voted for me.”
