FRIDAY, FEB. 10: The Women’s Futsal League experienced their first default as Dandy Stars 1 could not field a team. Stars had a good reason though as many of their players were competing in the Bermuda School Sports Federation’s All-star Game at the National Sports Centre.

YMSC picked up the default victory. The Dandy Stars 2 match v Somerset was also not played as both clubs had players in the BSSF All-star game.

Robin Hood 16, HPWC 0

The league also experienced one of its biggest blowout as the Hood were too much for Hamilton Parish.

Both Cheyra Bell and Precious Smith bagged five goals. There were plenty of accolades to go around as Kashintae Fox and Zakiya Maynard both had braces while Tamisa Darrell and Keisha Burchall also slotted home goals.

Hood were up 7 to 0 at the half and did not ease up the pressure after the break.

Commentary: Robin Hood dominated every aspect of the game and were up 7 to 0 at the half. HPWC had no answer and rarely threatened Robin Hood’s goalkeeper. The end result was a runaway victory for Robin Hood.

PHC 1, NV 3

PHC were hoping their luck had changed against North Village when Aaliyah Nolan opened the scoring and gave them the lead.

Village’s Whitnae Duerr quickly erased that advantage and then slotted home a second goal before the half.

Tschana Wade gave North Village breathing room with her goal in the second half.

Next week’s games see League leaders Robin Hood take on second place team NVCC in the first match of the night.

Games start at 5 pm at the Bermuda College Gym.
