MONDAY, APRIL 9: Justin Donowa finished agonisingly outside the medals in this evening's long jump competition.

Donowa, who won Bermuda's first CARIFTA gold medal since 2004 in the triple jump last night, ended the under 17 long jump competition in fourth place.

The Bermudian's best jump of 6.42m was 24 centimetres short of the bronze medalist LaQuan Nairn of Bahamas.

Andwuelle Wright of Trinidad and Tobago took the gold medal with a huge leap of 6.84 metres.

But Donawa can be very proud of a fantastic performance over the last two days, which will long be remembered for his display in the triple jump.
