FRIDAY, MARCH 2: Homophobic tweets, assault charges and a Carlos Tevez sighting are all events that transpired off the pitch this week.

Technically, Tevez was on the field, but that was in a reserve match so it really doesn’t count.

Liverpool v Arsenal
While there is still shine on Liverpool’s big Carling Cup victory, the club needs to take all the points against Arsenal if they want to have any hope of climbing into the top five spots.
They are seven points behind Arsenal for fourth and the same amount behind Chelsea for fifth.
They’ll have to beat Arsenal without the services of defender Daniel Agger who will likely miss most of the matches in March.
A huge 5-2 triumph over Tottenham had Arsene Wenger proclaiming Arsenal is “more alive” than anybody thought. He was, of course, predicting the club’s top four chances rather than winning the league.
BDA Sun prediction: 1-1

Blackburn v Aston Villa
Blackburn still get to play the bottom three clubs in the table (Wolves, Bolton and Wigan) and have shown good form since Christmas, saving manager Steve Kean’s job. He’s still not a fan favourite, but he can probably help steer the club clear of relegation.
Villa’s disappointing season is likely to continue with a loss on Saturday.
BDA Sun prediction: 2-1

Man City v Bolton
Carlos Tevez is back for City — well, sort of. He played the first half a reserves match against Preston. He may be hard pressed to find a spot as a starter as the men who have replaced him — Sergio Aguero, Edin Dzeko and Mario Balotelli — all scored against Blackburn last Saturday. If they keep their good form, they’ll keep him off the field.
The best thing you can say about Bolton is that they’re not Wigan. They won’t get any mercy from City.
BDA Sun prediction: 3-0

QPR v Everton
When you haven’t won a game since October and aren’t in the relegation zone, you would have to count your lucky stars. But things don’t look good for QPR as they face both Manchester sides away as well as Chelsea and Sunderland on the road and Liverpool and Arsenal at home. The game against Everton is one of their ‘easy’ games they have left on the schedule.
BDA Sun prediction: 1-2

Stoke v Norwich
Stoke are looking to finish strong and be in the top half of the table. Last week’s 2-0 win over Swansea helped them climb two spots on the ladder. And this is without Jermaine Pennant, whom manager Tony Pulis says hasn’t been able to make the starting XI because Ryan Shotton’s form at right wing is too good.
Norwich striker Grant Holt has impressed, leading some pundits to call for him to be called to the England squad. Wayne Rooney is the only Englishman with more goals than Holt. His 10 strikes have kept Norwich in the top half of the table most of the season but a loss here would see Stoke move past them.
BDA Sun prediction: 2-1

West Brom v Chelsea
It’s been a winter of discontent for West Brom. Until the 4-0 thumping of Sunderland last weekend, they had not won at home since November.
The Baggies have won three on the trot, but will have to deal with a Chelsea side that broke a four match winless streak as it seeks to climb past Arsenal into fourth.
BDA Sun prediction: 0-1

Wigan v Swansea
Wigan needs to snatch all three points here as they still have to face Liverpool, Chelsea, Newcastle, Arsenal and Manchester United.
Swansea get back Michael Vorm who has been most impressive this season. He has been out due to a virus and makes the difference here.
BDA Sun prediction: 0-1

Newcastle v Sunderland
Newcastle’s Nile Ranger’s wallet is £6,000 pounds lighter after the FA fined him for a homophobic tweet. Ranger’s been busy as he was also in court to face charges he assaulted four people, including two police officers.
Newcastle doesn’t need these kind of distractions as it tries to overhaul Arsenal and Chelsea.
BDA Sun prediction: 3-1

Fulham v Wolves
On recent form, Fulham and Wolves are at the opposite ends of the table. Fulham have grabbed 10 points form their last six matches while Wolves have just five.
The draw with Newcastle has given Wolves supporters some hope they can avoid relegation. Looking at the other team’s schedules that are fighting for survival, they could be right.
BDA Sun prediction: 1-0

Tottenham v Man United
Tottenham’s Scott Parker may achieve a dream of his by captaining England against the Netherlands next week if rumours are true.
Ryan Giggs keeps clicking along for United. He made his 900th appearance for the club, a record Sir Alex Ferguson says will never be broken.
BDA Sun prediction: 1-2
