FRIDAY, APR. 13: Bermudian Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) professional and coach David Bascome has launched his annual HSBC Pro Soccer Clinic which open to male and female players between the ages of four and 16 years.
According to a press release, this popular clinic focuses on providing players the opportunity to build on their soccer skills and learn the importance of positive discipline both on and off the field.
BAA Field is the location for the clinic, kicking off on July 2. In order to accommodate as many players as possible, the HSBC Pro Soccer Clinic offers two weeks for the Kiddy Kickers, Basic Group and Bridge to Success programme.
The same programmes will be offered each week and parents have the option of choosing either week 1 or week 2.
Application forms are now available from HSBC branches: Harbourview Centre, Church Street, Somerset and St. George’s or on the HSBC.bm website, About Us, Community Section.
Kiddie Kickers, a starter clinic, is designed for the island’s youngest players between 4 and 5 years and introduces FUN-damentals of soccer through basic soccer skills and fun drills during daily one hour evening sessions.
Kiddie Kickers promotes parent involvement by requiring that parents accompany their children throughout the entire training session.
The Basic Group provides players between the ages of six and 10 years with the opportunity to build on their soccer skills and become team players on and off the field, learning the importance of positive discipline.
Bridge to Success is open to male and female players aged nine to 16 and will give participants the tools to become the model player.
