FRIDAY, MAY 25: Bermuda took both first and second in the International Snooker Tournament held last week at the Fairmont Hamilton Princess.
And three-time US national champion Ahmed El Sayid put on a spectacular display to win the A Division.
Stewart Greenslade, Richard Beale and Aaron Bean defeated Karl Wilson, Mike Zimmerman and Tony Dawson in the team play competition.
Zimmerman went on to win the B Division while Bean was the C Division champion. High breaks for each of the divisions were Paul Flemming 76 (A Division), Isa Ismali 40 (B Division) and Timmy Sousa 26(C Division).
Flemming also won the Don Thomas competition with Tony DeSilva as the runner-up.
Steve Bremar was the Handicap Singles champ with Wilson coming in second while Pat Brake and Larry MacDonald took the Double championship. Cliff Johnson and Greenslade were the runners-up. Herb Lehman won the Singles Scratch title, denying Flemming a second championship. Tony DeSilva was honoured with the President’s Award for his lifetime achievements in the ISL.
