WEDNESDAY, JAN. 11: Patrick Ingham started the New Year off in the best way possible — he brought down three chequered flags in karting action at Bermuda's Southside Raceway.
Ingham, racing in the TAG Senior Class, was able to pull back 20 points on class leader David Barbosa. The two are in a tight battle for the national championship with Barbosa on 514 and Ingham just 20 back.
Just as tight is the battle for third with Steven Corrado just seven points ahead of Luis Martins.
In the 125 Shifter Class, Ben Savill took over the top spot after former Class leader Alexander Roque wasn’t down at the track. Rqoue won two of the three heats to pick up 74 points and move 44 in front of the idle Roque.
Barbosa won the third heat while Shannon Caisey managed a second place finish as well.
Blake Horseman dominated the Junior-In-Clone (7 to 12) by winning all three races. Class leader Ryan Lopes was pushed back into second for all three heats while Owen DeCosta had three thirds and Zanardi Daley three fourths.
Al Seymour Jr and Amber Lopes continued their battle in the Junior-In-Clone Class (12 to 15). Seymour took the first heat before Lopes roared back to take the chequered in the final two races of the day. Lopes leads Seymour by 54 points for the overall title.
