Daniel Augustus won the Jack Daniels’ Tour event on the Port Royal Golf Course by an astonishing 11 strokes.
Augustus shot a two under par 69 on a course, which played long and tough. Augustus hit 16 out of 18 greens in regulation and on another day when the putts would have fallen, the course record could have been seriously demolished.
Second place fell to Anthony Mocklow, a distant 11 strokes back on 80(+9) with third going to Andrew Bissell 13 strokes back on 82(+11).
Football
Bermuda’s Brazilian Football School will be hosting a goalkeeper camp from June 12-17 at BAA.
There will be one hour sessions daily for ages 8-9,10-12 and 13+.
Cal Blankendal and Dennis Brown said there will be a first class EPL visitor at the head of the camp.
Softball
Bermuda Pest Control won the first game of their best of five A Division series against favourites Docksiders Tuff Dogs 21 to 18 Monday night at the Michael Preece Softball Stadium.
The teams had a game of cat and mouse as every time Pest Control would extend their lead, Tuff Dogs would reel it back in. The Docksiders team was never able to fully catch up.
Game 2 is tonight at 8pm.
YouKnowDat hold a 2-0 lead against Rosa’s Banditos and could wrap the series up tonight. Rosa’s has been held to five runs in two games pitcher Paulo Arruda has baffled the Banditos.
YouKnowDat won the first contest 5 to 2 as neither team hit well in a game that took less than 50 minutes to play. Dat got the bats going in game 2 and won comfortably 18 to 3.
Atlantic Stitches won their first contest against Flanagans G-Shocks in the Women’s Division 7-0 due to Flanagans using an ineligible player. Game 2 is scheduled for Friday at 6pm.
Scared Hitless leveled their C Division semi-final series against KPMG at one game a piece with a 28 to 18 win.
In the other semi-final, PWC also leveled their series 1-1 against BNY Mellon Hedgehogs with a 13 to 5 triumph.
