The Bermuda Football Association is very pleased to announce the players and officials comprising the Men’s Under-23 Select Team that will represent Bermuda in the 2014 US Soccer National Training Center Invitational Tournament in Carson, California.
Bermuda was fortunate to receive an invitation to this tournament in late June. This opportunity can be considered an indicator that our improved results at all age levels male and female are being noticed throughout the region.
Joining the coaching staff is Khano Smith, a former captain of the Bermuda National Team and former pro player in the MLS with the New England Revolution and New York Red Bulls.
Khano is currently working with the New England Revolution as a coach with their Academy Teams. He has made himself available to assist with this tour and we believe this is an excellent opportunity to begin his involvement with the Bermuda National program as a coach, with a view toward his development at this level for the future.
The team departs Bermuda on Saturday, July 12 and will play matches against Chile, Australia and hosts USA.
Bermuda fans will be able to view Bermuda’s July 18 match against Chile live at www.ussoccer.com.
