THURSDAY, JULY 26: Bermudian footballer Freddy Hall has signed a contract to play for Toronto FC, the Bermuda Sun can reveal.
The 27-year-old goalkeeper signed the contract yesterday and is flying from the UK to Toronto today.
He was released from his one-year contract at Northampton this summer and flew to Toronto earlier this month where he was on trial for the club.
Hall impressed the coaches enough to start for Toronto last Saturday in their game against Liverpool.
He played the first half alongside fellow Bermudian Reggie Lambe.
Many Bermudians showed their support for Hall via Twitter and Facebook messages during the game and after.
See tomorrow’s Bermuda Sun for an exclusive interview with Hall.
