A second man accused of the murder of Garry Cann over three years ago has denied all charges.

Jermaine Simmons appeared at Supreme Court Arraignments yesterday in connection with the 2009 murder.

He pleaded not guilty to one charge of premeditated murder as well as a further charge of using a firearm to commit murder.

The 38-year-old was remanded in custody and is expected to stand trial later this summer.

Mr Cann was gunned down outside his girlfriend’s home on Sound View Road, Sandys, on December 15, 2009.

Another man, Zikai Cann, 24, has also been charged in connection with the murder of Garry Cann.

He has denied premeditated murder and is expected to stand trial on June 2. Mr Cann is currently remanded in custody.

A hearing to determine whether Mr Cann and Mr Simmons will stand trial together will take place in the coming weeks.
