TUESDAY, OCT. 2: A 23 year old Hamilton parish man has been arrested in connection with the motorcycle collision that injured a female pedestrian on Court Street in Pembroke around 3:45am on Saturday, September 29th.

Inquiries into this incident are ongoing.


MONDAY, OCT. 1: Police are hunting a motorcyclist who knocked down a pedestrian on Front Street as he tried to escape from officers.

The 57-year-old Paget woman sustained leg injuries as a result of the accident at 3:45am on Saturday and was rushed to hospital.

She is currently recovering on a general ward at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.

Officers are still trying to track down the motorcyclist who was first spotted on Front Street in the early hours of Saturday.

The man's motorcycle was later found and impounded.

A police spokesman said: "Inquiries into this incident are ongoing and any witnesses or anyone with any information regarding the rider of a white motorcycle BR 599 early Saturday morning is encouraged to contact the main police number on 295-0011."
