FRIDAY, DEC. 14: No rain expected on election day

Polling day weather is predicted to be dry but breezy, according to the Bermuda Weather Service.

Meteorologist Ken Smith said: “Early Monday morning will be a fine morning, with light winds.

“Later in the morning, a cold front will move in off the east coast and it will get a bit breezy in the afternoon.”

Poor or rainy weather on General Election days is traditionally thought to affect voter turnout.

Mr Smith predicted winds of between 15 and 20 knots later in the day.

But he said: “We think it will remain dry until after the polls close.”
