WEDNESDAY, JULY 18: Dear Sir,

We pass Mr. Johnny Barnes every work day coming into town.

Over the past several weeks, I have noticed that Johnny has been hanging onto the sign (next to where he sends his morning greetings) and most recent…has a folding chair that he has been sitting in.

We all know Johnny is not a young pup…

It would appear that he needs assistance both standing and sitting.

Has there been any thought in possibly building a handrail…with concrete slab and rubber padding for when he stands…and possibly a small elevated bench of some sort…so if he does need to sit for a moment? This way, Johnny is not carrying a chair, umbrella…bag…cane, etc… all the other items he is currently carrying to is greeting area? Today I notice the spot he stands at ... has wear and tare… and is becoming a dirt hole… which in the rain… puts him in a muddy hole.  Rain or shine...Johnny is there!!

This is just a thought and I am sure there  is no entity responsible for this…but felt it was worth sharing with someone… as it is very obvious that Johnny is having a harder time…standing, waving and greeting day time traffic!!

What can be done and who can help?

I was going to put together a group that could help… but not sure if this is allowed.
