Somerset maintained the Cup Match trophy after dominating St George’s at the annual Cup Match classic. Controversy marred the second day of the game which led to St George’s Treadwell Gibbons receiving a suspended two-year ban and a fine.
Tourism department axed
The controversial decision to axe the Department of Tourism saw a major shake-up that will make way for the new Tourism Authority.
Forty posts are to be cut but staff will be able to apply for jobs with the Authority.

The case involved details of the removal of organs from an expatriate who died here in 2008 –– just days after going to the hospital for respiratory problems.
The inquest detailed that many of his organs, including his brain and kidney, had never been found.
