THURSDAY, JUNE 21: Minister of National Security the Hon. Wayne N.M. Perinchief CPM, JP, MP has called on new Mayor of Hamilton the Rt. Wor. Graeme Outerbridge at City Hall. The Mayor said: "I am pleased to have met with Minister Perinchief. We discussed a number of issues that are important to the running of the City, especially its safety and security.”

During his call on Mayor Outerbridge, Minister Perinchief also met with the City's Rangers who are deployed in Hamilton.

Minister Perinchief said: "The City of Hamilton is a centre for residential, business and recreational uses and the Government is committed to working with the City's Administration. For my part, I have encouraged a dialogue between City Hall and the Bermuda Police Service so that together, we maintain the City's safety and security."

The meeting also included a discussion on social issues manifested in the City, including the homeless. Mayor Outerbridge concluded: "The Minister and I agreed to work together and enlist the support of other agencies to develop solutions for the long-term and I look forward to our on-going dialogue."
