WEDNESDAY, MAY 23 10AM UPDATE: A gang link to a late night shooting on Tuesday has not been ruled out by police.

A force spokesman said: “It’s too early to say at this point – we are exploring all the possibilities.

“We are following a number of lines of enquiry.”

He was speaking after a 51-year-old man suffered gunshot wounds after an attack on Pembroke’s Rambling Lane around 10:20pm on Tuesday.

The man, who has not been named, was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment.

The spokesman said his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Today, the scene was still cordoned off and an investigation underway.

Detectives are appealing for any witnesses, particularly anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity in the Rambling Lane area around the time of the shooting.

Anyone with any information that could help the inquiry should to contact the investigating team on 295-0011.
