FRIDAY, JULY 8: Two men on a motorcycle robbed a tourist, causing a collision on North Shore Road yesterday.

At 4:15pm police received a report of a handbag snatch in Hamilton Parish, on North Shore Road near the junction with Coney Island Road.

Two tourists were riding separate rental cycles when two men accosted the male visitor. As a result, a collision happened.

One of the men then ran off with the man’s knapsack while the other rode off.

The male tourist was treated in hospital for minor injuries. His companion was uninjured.

The suspects are described as two black males wearing silver helmets. One wore a grey T-shirt.

The pillion passenger is described as 5ft 10 inches tall.  

A 17-year-old male has been arrested in connection with this incident.
