* Derek J. Howe, Stemedica's vice-president of operations; nephew of Maynard Howe, and son of Roger Howe, Stemedica's chairman; was formerly treasurer and controller of Reliant Technologies and Biopharma Scientific.

* Eugene Baranov, Ph.D., vice-president, global research, Stemedica; member of Biopharma Scientific's Board of Advisors and a director of Research and Development for Bio-Hydration Research Lab, Inc.; has a Ph.D. in biophysics; was a visiting professor for three and a half years at the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia; article published on a Penta water website in June 2002 said he was working "with a wide number of institutions worldwide in the further study of specific properties of Penta water and its health benefits."

* Harris Brotman, Ph.D., J.D., Stemedica's vice-president of intellectual property; received a Ph.D. in genetics from the University of California, Davis, and also has a law degree; practised patent law at partner level in major San Diego law firms prior to joining Stemedica in 2006.

* Tim Brown, MBA, J.D., Stemedica's director of intellectual property; has a law degree and a master of science degree in biotechnology from Johns Hopkins University in addition to an MBA; spent five years as a patent examiner in the U.S.. Patent and Trademark Office.
