TUESDAY, MARCH 20: A former employee of PriceRite today admitted stealing from the store.
Franklyn Belboda, 40, admitted in Magistrates’ Court to stealing an Xbox gaming system and a power station to the value of $900 from the store.
The court heard the complainant in the matter came into the store on March 8 and did an inventory of the products on display.
He saw the Xbox on a shelf.
When he came in the next day, he checked the inventory again and noticed the Xbox was missing.
The complainant checked the receipts and saw that it wasn’t on any of them so he decided to check the CCTV footage.
On it, he saw Belboda take the items off the shelf.
The defendant was arrested and admitted to stealing the items.
Magistrate Khamisi Tokunbo ordered a social inquiry report and adjourned the matter to May 11.
Belboda was given $2,000 bail.
