SATURDAY, DEC. 11 UPDATE: A cyclist and a motorcycle rider were involved in a collision yesterday on Parsons Road.

Police blocked off Parsons Road around 10:20am today and refused to allow motorists through.

According to a press statement, details about the collision are unclear but it is known that a pedal cycle and a motorcycle were involved.

The pedal cyclist, a 60-year-old man, and the motorcyclist, a 59-year-old Devonshire woman, were both injured and taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment.

The male cyclist remains in the Intensive Care Unit this morning. The female motorcyclist is believed to be on a general ward.

Police are appealing for witnesses to this accident to contact PC Ian Taitt on 295-0011.

Burglary in Warwick

On Wednesday morning, police received a report of a burglary at a Longford Road, Warwick residence.

It appears that sometime between 6pm and 10pm on Tuesday, an unknown culprit broke into the home and stole a handbag containing a cellular phone as well as a quantity of cash and personal items.

Police are investigating the incident.
