A 50-year-old man who swore at a bus driver while drunk was fined $200 today.

Don Simmons was on a bus headed to Southampton when he became unruly.

The bus operator noticed he was drinking alcohol on the bus and told him it wasn’t permitted.

He then spilled the alcohol on the floor and was told the get off the bus.

He then became aggressive and refused to leave, telling the operator to “f**k off” and called her a b***h.

Simmons was asked to leave the bus again and when he wouldn’t the operator told him she had called the police.

The defendant then got off the bus, but made a gun gesture towards the bus driver and said he “had a bullet for her”.

After he left, the operator noticed he had urinated the seat he was sitting in. Simmons was then arrested when police arrived.

Addressing the court, Simmons said: “I was in an intoxicated state at the time.

“I am very sorry to have to come to court.”

Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner gave Simmons  $200 fine and ordered him to stay away from public buses for the next year.
