THURSDAY, MAY 26: A 22-year-old woman was fined $1000 today after she admitted to cocaine possession.

Danielle Eatherley pleaded guilty in Magistrates’ Court to one count of possession of cocaine on January 30.

The court heard officers arrested Eatherley at 2:30am that day at The Beach on Front Street after a report of a disturbance.

At the police station, she said: “I’m going to be honest with you, I have drugs on me.”

She then pulled a brown paper twist from her jacket pocket and threw it on the floor.

Inside the twist were rocklike substances, which turned out to be .4 grams of cocaine.

Asked to address the court, Eatherley said: “I have nothing to say, Your Honour.”

She was given a $1000 fine.
