THURSDAY, SEPT. 6: Jessica Lewis finished eighth in the T53 Paralympic 200m race in London on Thursday evening.

Lewis, 19, posted a time of 34.76, which was just outside her personal best of 33.69 set in early August.

Lisha Huang of China won the gold with a time of 29.18, which was a new personal best for her. Huang also won the 100m on Sunday.

Australia’s Angela Ballard won the silver in 29.35 with China’s Hongzhuan Zhou winning the bronze. Ballard and Zhou swapped podium positions from Sunday’s 100m final.

Lewis’ final event is the 400m, which is scheduled for Saturday at 5:21pm Bermuda Time.

She is the first Bermudian athlete to compete in athletics at a Paralympics.
