WEDNESDAY, APRIL 20: Three men were charged with growing cannabis today.

Andre Lee Landy, 55; Andre Joseph Landy, 20; and Christopher Landy, 21, are accused of possession of cannabis with intent to supply, possession of a miniature blender fitted with the misuse of controlled drugs and cultivating cannabis.

The offences allegedly took place in Smith’s on January 19.

All three defendants denied the charges and elected to stand trial in Magistrates’ Court.

Crown counsel Robert Welling told the court the house was searched as a result of a warrant.

Officers found a hydroponic “set-up” and seized numerous marijuana plants in pots.

Almost 100 grams was seized.

The matter was adjourned until May 4 and the defendants were given $10,000 bail each.

The trial will take place on August 2.
