FRIDAY, JULY 27: A “significant quantity” of cannabis was found when police raided a Smith’s Parish home today.

Police executed a search warrant at a Somersall Road residence. Officers seized controlled drugs, which appeared to be under cultivation.

A Smith’s parish man, 38, has been arrested on suspicion of cultivation of cannabis.

Acting Chief Inspector Andy Morgan said: “This is another real success for the partnership between the community and the Bermuda Police Service, working together in our fight against the distribution of controlled drugs and tackling crime in general.”

The suspect remains in police custody. Enquiries into this incident are continuing.
