MONDAY, APRIL 2: A 25-year-old man appeared in court today facing charges of assault and resisting arrest.
Derek Weeks denied using offensive words to PC Richards, violently resisting arrest, assaulting PC Richards while he was acting in the execution of his duty, driving while impaired and refusing to give a sample of his breath for analysis.
The offences allegedly happened on March 31 in Hamilton Parish and Pembroke.
The matter was adjourned for trial on May 22 and Mr Weeks was given $5,000 bail with one surety.
