TUESDAY, MARCH 20: Two defendants appeared in court today on multiple theft charges.
Devon Lee Foggo and Latuanya Griffin both denied entering a Devonshire home on January 26 and stealing cash, an iPod and a briefcase with two passports and watches to the total value of $4,182.
The pair also denied dishonestly receiving a stolen Capital G card belonging to James Gibbons.
Mr Foggo, 41, denied using the card falsely on the same date at the Collectors Hill Apothecary three times and using it to buy cartons of Marlboro cigarettes to the value of $400.
Ms Griffin, 28, denied using the card falsely on the same day at Heron Bay MarketPlace, dishonestly obtaining a bottle of Hennessey valued at $58.35 from Heron Bay MarketPlace, dishonestly obtaining two cartons of Marlboro cigarettes and bottles of liquor from Harrington Hundreds.
Magistrate Khamisi Tokunbo adjourned the matter to March 25.
Mr Foggo was given an electronic monitoring device and $5,000 bail.
The court heard he is on probation.
Ms Griffin was also given $5,000 bail with one surety.
