MONDAY, MAY 2: A slew of trial and sentencing dates were set for upcoming hearings in the Supreme Court during the monthly arraignments session today.

Antonio Myers, 25, will be sentenced next month for the murder of Kumi Harford.

He was convicted on March 28 of murdering Mr Harford on December 5, 2009 and of being in possession of a firearm.

On August 2, cousins Kenith Bulford, 35, and Macray Bulford, 38, will stand trial with Ashley Wellman, 30, for allegedly wounding Dwayne Reid-Anderson with intent to cause him grievous bodily harm.

The trio are also charged with conspiracy to use a firearm to hold Mr. Reid-Anderson against his will, of holding him against his will and robbing him of $4,000.

The offences are alleged to have taken place on January 2, 2011.

Jakai Harford, 28 of Pembroke will stand trial on August 22 for possessing a firearm and ammunition.

He is also charged with possessing nearly $15,000 worth of cocaine and $5,000 worth of cannabis.

Andre Curtis will stand trial on September 26, accused of spending nearly $100,000 in government funds between April 2007 and April 2008.

He is also said to have dishonestly falsified accounts expenditure from the Faith-Based Tourism budget.

Mr Curtis is also accused of stealing approximately $228,000 from Andrew Smith. This charge relates to a construction company he once operated.

Jah’mico Trott and Dunn-Ya Taylor will stand trial this summer for the attempted murder of David Godwin on September 23, 2010.

Mr Trott, 23, and Mr Taylor, 22, are said to have driven up to Mr. Godwin on a motorbike in St. Monica’s Road and shot him in the back.

Mr Trott has denied attempted murder, using a firearm with intent to commit an indictable offence and carrying a firearm in a public place.

Mr Taylor denied attempted murder.

Mary Darnell Johnson, 52, will stand trial on September 5 for conspiring with persons in Bermuda and elsewhere to import the controlled drug cannabis between a date unknown and October 21, 2010.

Michelle Latoya Gibbons, 28, pleaded guilty to conspiring with persons in Bermuda and elsewhere to import $1.1 million of cannabis between a date unknown and October 21, 2010. Her matter will be mentioned at the June arraignments.

A social inquiry report was ordered.
