TUESDAY, JUNE 26: A man who admitted possession of a homemade crack pipe was fined $400 today.
Shaun Hunt, 47, pleaded guilty to possession of a glass bottle fitted in connection with the use of controlled drugs on February 13 in Pembroke.
The court heard Hunt was arrested on an unrelated matter at 7:45pm when officers searched a grey bag he had with him.
Inside the bag, officers found silver wire mesh and a clear miniature glass bottle with traces of a white residue inside.
The items were seized and the residue was found to be traces of cocaine.
Addressing the court, Hunt said: “I’m sorry for my actions.
“I was going through a lot at that time.
“I was homeless.
“All I do now is work, work.”
Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner gave him a $400 fine.
