NOTICE OF PUBLICATION OF REVISED PARLIAMENTARY REGISTER
MUNICIPALITIES (ELECTION) ORDER 2011
Notice is given that, in accordance with the provisions of section 26A (5) of the Parliamentary Election Act 1978, as modified by the Municipality (Election) Order 2011, copies of the revised parliamentary register are available for inspection at the Parliamentary Registry, Valerie T. Scott Building, 60 Reid Street, Hamilton, the City Hall, Town Hall, and at the Hamilton Post Office, Perot Post Office, and the Bermuda Library.
The revised parliamentary register shall be used for the municipal elections in respect of which the writ was issued.

MUNICIPALITIES (ELECTION) ORDER 2011
PARLIAMENTARY ELECTION TO BE HELD ON
10th May 2012
For the information of employers, employees and the public generally, sections 36 (3), 73 (2) and 74 of the Parliamentary Election Act 1978, as modified by the Municipalities (Election) Order 2011, relating to the entitlement of parliamentary electors to time off from work on polling day to enable them to travel to the election room for the purposes of recording their votes, the offence committed by employers in contravention of the law, and the penalty for such contravention are reproduced below.
Section 36 (3)
(3)Every parliamentary elector whose name appears in the parliamentary register for a municipal area in respect of which a contested a municipal election is held shall, if he is in employment, be entitled to receive from his employer without penalty sufficient time off work on the polling day to enable him to travel to the election room and there record his vote.
Section 73 (2)
(2)Any employer who on being requested by an employee pursuant to section 36 (3) to allow him sufficient time off work to enable him to travel to an election room and there record his vote fails to allow him such time or who penalizes an employee whom he has allowed time to so travel and vote commits an offence.
Section 74
74Where a person commits an offence under this Act for which no specific penalty is provided:
Punishment on summary conviction: imprisonment for 9 months or a fine of $500 or both such imprisonment and fine.

REGISTRATION FOR MILITARY SERVICE
The persons whose names are listed below are required to Register for Military Service under the provisions of Section 13 and 13A of the Defence Act, 1965. All those person listed were born between August 1991 and July 1992 and to date, they have failed to or need to register as is required under the provisions of section 13 and 13A of the Defence Act, 1965.
Under the provisions of the Defence Act 1965 [Section 13 and 13A] as read with Governor’s Orders 1993, all Bermudian males on attaining the age of eighteen [18] are required to report, forthwith, during ordinary working hours either to a Police Station or to the Defence Department at Warwick Camp and give their names and current addresses and contact information as required on the [green] military registration form.
All Bermudian males, aged eighteen [18] years and over who have not previously registered for military service are required to do so at any Police Station or at the Defence Department at Warwick Camp.
Failure to register constitutes an offence under the Defence Act 1965.
The act of registration for military service is separate from the act of being called-up for military service. The act of registering for military service does not mean that the person registering for service will, necessarily, be called-up for service. Registration results only in that person’s name being placed in the ballot for military service. The ballot for military service takes place in September with actual military service commencing in the following January Recruit Camp.
For the convenience of students, registration forms have also been made available at the following places of education: Bermuda Institute – Warwick Academy – Mount Saint Agnes Academy – Saltus Grammar School – The Bermuda College.
For convenience, Registration forms may also be filled in and left at all Post Offices and sub-Post Offices. Receipts will be mailed, later, to persons who register.

THE COMPANIES ACT 1981
PURSUANT TO SECTION 261
WHEREAS:
1.The Registrar of Companies has reason to believe that the companies specified in the schedule hereto are not carrying on business nor are in operation;
2.The Registrar of Companies sent letters by post to the companies inquiring whether they were carrying on business or were in operation;
3.The Registrar of Companies did not within one month of sending the letter receive any answers thereto and in consequence did send each of the companies a registered letter, referring to the first letter and stating that no answer thereto had been received and that if an answer was not received to the second letter within one month from the date thereof, a Notice would be published in the Gazette with a view to striking off and dissolving the companies;
4.The Registrar of Companies has either received replies stating that the companies are not carrying on business or were not in operation or having received no replies at all, published a Notice dated 1 July 2011 to the effect that at the expiration of three months from the date of the publication of the Notice on 6 July 2011 the companies would, unless cause were shown to the contrary, be dissolved;
5.No cause having been shown to the contrary by the companies below listed within the period of three months of the Notice, dated 6 July 2011 the Registrar of Companies by virtue of the powers vested in him under section 261(5) of the Companies Act 1981 has struck the names of the following companies off the Register.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN of the said striking off and consequently with effect from the date of publication of this Notice, the companies specified in the Schedule SHALL STAND DISSOLVED.
